Agastache 'Tutti Frutti'

Agastache 'Tutti Frutti' is a vibrant, heat-loving perennial featuring spikes of tubular raspberry-pink flowers that bloom prolifically from summer through fall. This hybrid hummingbird mint produces aromatic, anise-scented foliage that releases a sweet licorice fragrance when brushed against. The upright, bushy habit creates a colorful architectural element in the garden while the long-lasting blooms attract a remarkable number of hummingbirds, butterflies, and beneficial insects. Extremely heat and drought tolerant once established, 'Tutti Frutti' combines showstopping color with low water requirements, making it perfect for xeriscapes, cottage gardens, and pollinator habitats.

Care Tips: Excellent drainage is absolutely essential—plant in raised beds or amend soil with gravel if necessary. Avoid overhead watering and excessive moisture, especially in winter. Do not cut back in fall; instead, prune in early spring when new growth appears at the base. May be short-lived in humid climates or heavy soils with poor drainage. Avoid excessive fertilizing which can reduce flowering and winter hardiness. Self-seeds modestly in favorable conditions but seedlings may not come true to parent plant.
