Catmint 'Walker's Low'
Catmint 'Walker's Low'
Nepeta 'Walker's Low' is a versatile, long-blooming perennial that creates billowing mounds of aromatic gray-green foliage topped with abundant lavender-blue flower spikes. Despite its name, this catmint variety reaches nearly two feet in height with a wider spread. It attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds while being resistant to deer and rabbits. The fragrant foliage releases a pleasant mint-like scent when brushed against. This low-maintenance plant works beautifully as a border edge, in cottage gardens, or spilling over retaining walls.
Care Tips: Cut back by one-third after first flush of flowers to promote reblooming and maintain compact shape. Tolerates poor soil but requires good drainage. Divide every 3-4 years in spring to rejuvenate. May cause excitement in feline friends—plant accordingly if you have cats!
