Confetti Lantana
Confetti Lantana
Confetti Lantana (Lantana camara 'Confetti') is a colorful, heat-loving perennial featuring clusters of multi-colored flowers that include shades of pink, yellow, orange, and white—often all on the same flower cluster as they mature, creating a confetti-like appearance. This mounding, somewhat spreading variety offers exceptional heat and drought tolerance combined with nearly non-stop blooming from spring until frost. The aromatic foliage has a distinctive scent when brushed against and helps deter deer and rabbits. A butterfly and hummingbird magnet, Confetti Lantana provides continuous color and pollinator support even during the hottest summer months when many other plants have stopped flowering.
Care Tips: Prune back by one-third in early spring to maintain shape and encourage dense growth. May die back to the ground in Zone 8 winters but typically regrows vigorously from the roots. Remove berries before they ripen if spread is a concern, as birds distribute seeds. Excellent drainage is essential—avoid wet, heavy soils. Can be grown in containers and overwintered indoors in colder regions. Wear gloves when handling, as foliage may cause skin irritation in sensitive individuals.
