Yellow Bells 'Sangria' (Tecoma stans 'Sangria') is a showy, semi-evergreen shrub featuring clusters of trumpet-shaped yellow flowers with distinctive red-wine colored throats that give this cultivar its name. This heat-loving plant blooms prolifically from spring through fall, creating a stunning display of color that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. The glossy, dark green, pinnate foliage provides an attractive backdrop for the vibrant blooms. More compact than the species, 'Sangria' maintains a neat, rounded form that works beautifully in borders, as a focal point, or in large containers. Native to the southwestern United States and Mexico, this plant thrives in hot, sunny conditions.

Care Tips: Prune in early spring to maintain desired shape and encourage dense growth. May die back in Zone 9 winters but typically regrows quickly from the base. Can be grown as an annual in colder zones or overwintered indoors in containers. Deadheading is not necessary but can promote additional blooming. Tolerates a wide range of soils but performs best with good drainage. Long seed pods follow flowers and can be removed if self-seeding is not desired.
